We are glad to help with Gridtiva.
Contact us
Email support@gridtiva.com.
Gridtiva is run by a small independent team. We read every message and reply as soon as we can. We do not offer a guaranteed response time.
When you write, please include:
- your
.myshopify.comstore domain; - the metaobject definition you were editing;
- what you expected, and what happened instead;
- the date and approximate time of the update.
Please do not send us passwords, API tokens, or customer data. We never need them, and Gridtiva has no technical ability to read customer records in the first place.
Frequently asked questions
What does Gridtiva do?
Gridtiva lets you edit existing Shopify metaobject entries in a spreadsheet-style grid, directly inside your Shopify admin. You edit cells, fill values down a range, preview every change, and apply them in one update.
Which field types can Gridtiva edit?
Six: single-line text, multi-line text, integer, decimal, true/false, and date.
Fields of any other type — references, files, JSON, colour and so on — are shown in the grid as read-only. Gridtiva never writes to them.
How many entries can I update at once?
- Gridtiva Free: up to 10 entries per update.
- Gridtiva Paid: up to 100 entries per update.
The limit is per update, not per month. There is no limit on how many updates you run.
Can Gridtiva create or delete entries?
No. Gridtiva only edits entries that already exist. Creating and deleting entries is done in the Shopify admin.
Does Gridtiva import or export CSV files?
No. Gridtiva is an in-admin editor: you edit in place, with a preview and an undo, rather than exporting a file and re-importing it.
What happens if I make a mistake?
Two things protect you.
First, nothing is written until you review it. Gridtiva shows you an exact before-and-after preview of every cell, and only writes when you confirm.
Second, every applied change is recorded and can be undone. Open the history, find the change, and undo it — one cell at a time, with an explicit confirmation. History is kept for 30 days.
Is the history a backup?
No — the history is not a backup. It covers only cells you edited through Gridtiva, it is kept for 30 days, and it is deleted when you uninstall. Keep your own backups.
What if I edit the same entry in the Shopify admin at the same time?
Gridtiva re-reads each entry immediately before writing it. If the value changed after you previewed it, Gridtiva refuses that change instead of overwriting the newer value, tells you what it found, and lets you reload and review again.
Does Gridtiva access my customers or orders?
No. Gridtiva requests only three permissions — read metaobject definitions, read metaobjects, and write metaobjects. It has no technical ability to read customers, orders, products or inventory.
How do I upgrade or cancel?
From inside Gridtiva, use Upgrade to Gridtiva Paid, or go to your Shopify admin, then Settings, then Apps and sales channels, then Gridtiva, then Billing. All plan changes are handled by Shopify. Gridtiva Paid includes a 14-day free trial.
What happens if I downgrade or cancel?
Your future updates return to the Free limit of 10 entries per update. Nothing is deleted, hidden or locked — your data, your history and Undo all remain available.
I uninstalled Gridtiva. What happens to my data?
Your metaobject entries stay exactly as they are in your Shopify store. Uninstalling Gridtiva does not change them.
Gridtiva’s own change history, snapshots and sessions are deleted immediately on uninstall. See the Privacy Policy for the full timetable.
